Pharmacy Manager, Contracting and Purchasing with UCHealth. Negotiates system pharmaceutical contracts and focuses on maximizing access to lowest contracted prices for medications purchased.

Work Schedule: Full Time Days


Assesses and prioritizes direct-to-manufacturer contracts, 340B sub-ceiling and sub-WAC pricing. Provides business oversight to all non-labor pharmacy budgets, maximizing discounted pricing access. Serves as the system 340B pricing expert and purchasing workflows expert through drug wholesaler tools.

Assesses pharmaceutical expenditures and cost trends system-wide, identifying opportunities for pharmaceutical contracting and improved purchasing processes on specific drug classes or products.

Monitors spend trends to identify potential opportunities for contracts that will impact increasing overall costs, including drug distributor contracting.

Leads pharmaceutical contracting initiatives, including direct to manufacturer, GPO, 503B and 340B and limited distribution drug contracting opportunities.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.


  • Minimum Required Education: Doctor of Pharmacy. Preferred: Additional Master’s degree in business field.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Pharmacist, or state Pharmacist license within one year of hire.
    Minimum Experience: 2 years of direct pharmaceutical manufacturer contracting experience with a health system, GPO, or PBM. 1 year of leadership experience within pharmacy operations or pharmacy contracting organization. Experience in managing 340B contracting programs and compliance with HRSA regulatory standards.

The pay range for this position is: $63.32 - $101.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
