Summary:


The UCHealth Southern Colorado Trauma Research Program is seeking an experienced Research Manager. This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of daily operations of clinical research trials as well as secondary data studies. 


Work Schedule: Full Time, Days 


Responsibilities:

  • Assists with developing departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.  
  • Collaborates with Trauma Services and all applicable parties, including Trauma Medical Director, to ensure ACS Level 1 Trauma Research designations are met and maintained.   
  • Collaborates with Neuroscience service line and all applicable parties, including Stroke Medical Director, to ensure Compressive Stroke Center research designations are met and maintained.
  • Manages staff including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements. 
  • Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies. 
  • Assesses the quality of services delivered and coordinates services with staff, the Institutional Review Board (IRB), other departments, and external agencies. 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in a health or science related field. Nursing preferred. 
  • Required Licensure/Certification: None Required. Colorado RN license preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: 3 years of clinical research experience. Experience in ICU, ED, Trauma, Acute Care bedside nursing preferred.
  • Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, have excellent oral and written communication skills, be adept at learning new technologies, possess strong collaboration skills across various stakeholders, and enjoy solving complex problems in the conduct of clinical research.
  • Research certification (ACRP, SoCRA, RAPS, etc.) preferred.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.

The pay range for this position is: $39.32 - $62.90 / hour.  Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.


An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
