The Opportunity

Vice President Finance

The VP Finance will have responsibilities over decision support, revenue cycle analytics, cost accounting, budgeting, and other complex financial analysis and projections.  The VP Finance works collaboratively with executive leadership to determine organizational priorities and goals. The VP Finance will direct the departments' activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization.

Reports to:      Chief Financial Officer, Shared Services


 


 

Goals and Objectives

The VP Finance is a member of the executive team.

Achieving the vision. The VP Finance’s success in this position will be measured by attaining these goals

  • Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide business processes, support the delivery of services, and ensure a culture of quality and satisfaction.
  • Leads departmental financial planning to ensure cost-efficient operations and to maximize profitability.
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
  •  Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the departments operate in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
  • Researches and monitors industrial, professional and national developments.  Integrates data from multiple sources to support decision making.

Education/Certification

Master’s degree in related field

Minimum 5 years of related management experience; 7 years of experience preferred

·       Demonstrate executive presence with the knowledge base and stature to deliver advice in a manner that is respected and valued.

·       Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively using two-way channels of communication with openness and active listening.

 

·       Must have analytical ability, good judgment, able to appropriately manage confidential matters, and strong commitment to the organizational focus.

 

·       Prioritize effectively and exercise sound judgment balancing the needs of the organization when making strategic decisions.
