Summary:
Performs technical and clerical functions in one or more sections of the laboratory.

Work Schedule: Full Time Days

Responsibilities:
Assists with receiving, identifying, accessing, processing and transporting specimens, plus additional responsibilities requiring critical thinking. Handles problems, including documentation and resolution. Communicates test results to appropriate healthcare providers.

Acts as mentor in specific area of expertise. Maintains equipment and adequate stock of supplies. Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.

Performs duties in accordance with regulations and procedures. Contributes to new procedures.

Performs clerical duties including answering phones, data entry, and filing. Performs charge entry and/or invoice reconciliation as applicable.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

    Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED.
    Required Licensure/Certification: None Required.
    Minimum Experience: 1 year of relevant experience. Preferred: 1 year in healthcare environment.

The pay range for this position is: $19.67 - $25.57 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
