Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship Clinical Pharmacy Specialist
The infectious disease (ID) clinical pharmacy specialist serves as a critical member of the multidisciplinary team who will provide ID pharmaceutical care for adult inpatients, including general, transplant/immunocompromised, and orthopedic services. Antimicrobial stewardship responsibilities include positive culture review and recommendations, dose optimizations and therapy de-escalations, and restricted antimicrobial use management. The ID clinical pharmacy specialist will also participate in antibiogram preparation and publication, organization of local and system antimicrobial stewardship activities, and collaboration with multiple quality and performance improvement committees on education initiatives, medication use evaluations, and research. This pharmacist has teaching responsibilities as the primary preceptor for pharmacy learners (students, PGY1 residents, PGY2 residents) and physician trainees on the ID rotation. The ID clinical pharmacy specialist hours will be Monday-Friday day hours with additional “on-call” responsibilities via pager for restricted antimicrobial use requests.
Work Schedule:Full Time, 80 hours/pay period, Days
The pay range for this position is: $50.76 - $76.14 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
