Clinical Documentation and Risk Adjustment Educator
Responsible for educating and advising providers and practice staff in Medicare coding guidelines, focusing on revenue enhancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor KPIs through analytics and business intelligence tools to identify providers for Risk Adjustment training, programs and documentation/coding resources and provide measurable, actionable solutions for providers that will result in improved accuracy of documentation and coding, and adoption of best practices.
  • Support coordination of clinician chart audit activities and operational aspects of clinical chart reviews, including implementing an overall documentation improvement program.
  • Develop, oversee, and deploy customized training and engagement methods, including web trainings, educational visual aids, and training curricula that affect success in value based agreements.
  • Perform comprehensive chart reviews to inform primary care providers of potential inferred, embedded, out of date, inaccurate, and/or missed diagnoses not previously identified and aid in the education and discovery of opportunities for improved quality of care and compliance through accurate coding and documentation.

Requirements

  • Essential:
    * Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist
    * Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner
    * Certified Coding Specialist
  • Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED.
    Required Certification: Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) required within 1 year of employment. 
    Minimum Experience: 3 years of relevant experience.

Preferred

Certified Professional Coder (CPC)

The pay range for this position is: $31.61 - $47.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
