Pharmacy Technician/Coord Automated Pharmacy Systems

Summary:

Manages the operation and use of the pharmacy's automated systems.

Seeking candidate with Pyxis or other automated dispensing cabinet experience. This hire will be involved in a work related project to upgrade existing Pyxis 4000 machines to Pyxis ES platform and installing new Pyxis ES machines across the UCHealth system. Travel required; candidate must have flexibility to travel to various in-state locations and stay overnight(s). 

Work Schedule: Part Time, 40 hours/pay period (20 hrs/wk), Days and hours may vary, Day shift 

Responsibilities:

• Responds to user interface issues and manages through to resolution.
• Coordinates, monitors, and/or performs system maintenance/upgrades. Assists with new equipment selection and installation.
  
• Provides training and support to departmental staff and clinical end users. Performs and/or monitors the assignment, revocation, and use of users' security credentials.
  
• Monitors the quality of automated systems services and recommends performance improvement strategies when gaps are identified or anticipated.
  
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

• Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED.
  
• Required Licensure/Certification: PHATP (Pharmacy Technician Provisional) certification from State Board of Pharmacy. PHAT (Pharmacy Technician) certification from State Board of Pharmacy within 18 months of hire.
• Minimum Experience: 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.

The pay range for this position is: $21.49 - $27.94 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
