Summary:

Directs Safety and Emergency Management activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization.

Job Duties:

Develops and implements departmental key performance indicators (KPIs), strategic plans, and standards consistent with the administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.

Communicates departmental performance to KPIs, resources needed to ensure overarching organizational preparedness, and how the department is accomplishing the multi-year strategic plan objectives.

Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.

Focuses on developing direct reports and their team members for future growth, professional development, certifications, and to ensure the system is recognized as a national leader in the Emergency Preparedness arena.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license
  • 3 years of experience in related field utilizing emergency preparedness standards

Preferred:

  • ICS courses ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800
  • NIMS

The pay range for this position is: $52.33 - $83.73 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

The bonus accumulates annually each October and is paid out in October following completion of five years’ employment.
