Summary:
Direct the strategic objectives of clinical quality and risk management. Develop and implement strategy for delivery of quality and safe care to patients. Provide oversight to ensure quality and safe practices. Identify, evaluate, and implement corrective action against risks that may result in injury to patients, visitors, and employees.

Work Schedule: Full Time Days

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategy for delivery of quality and safe care to patients. Provide ongoing monitoring and oversight to ensure sustainment of quality and safe practices. Annually assess the success of plans.

Assist in the development of performance indicators, methods of data collection, production of reports, and analysis of quality-related information. Work with physicians to implement processes that support an effective peer review/QAI process for the medical staff. Provide education to medical staff, management, and staff in performance improvement methods. Participate in CQI education and teams. Improve department(s) performance based upon critical factors. Maintain appropriate quality control programs. Integrate the scope of service and strategic plan with the mission, vision, plans, and primary functions of the organization.

Complete budget development for department and assume fiscal management. Utilize benchmark data to achieve higher levels of excellence and cost effectiveness. Implement activities to exceed customer expectations.

Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Required Education: Graduate of nursing program: ADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN. Preferred: Master's degree in a relevant field.
    Required Experience: 5 years of clinical quality, process improvement, or risk management experience. 2 years of supervisory experience.
    Required Licenses and Certifications: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Preferred: National certification in leadership, management, or clinical specialty.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)

The pay range for this position is: $52.33 - $83.73 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
