Greeley Hospital is expanding services to improve lives in our community. Join us in making extraordinary possible.

This brand new unit consists of 12 beds specializing in intermediate or moderately stable care of the acutely ill adult patient with medical or surgical conditions. The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specializes in neuro, trauma, sepsis, medical, vascular, a little bit of cardiac and everything else in between; patients are known to be too ill to be out on the medical units but still maintaining a respiratory drive and an adequate blood pressure to be too good for the ICU.

The UCHealth Critical Care Fellowship (CCF) is based on the evidence utilizing AACN ECCO® resources and the innovation of the Virtual Health Center (VHC). The CCF is a four-phased orientation that utilizes the strategies of block learning with a multi-system approach, an electronic daily orientation tracker for more efficient preceptor communication and creative knowledge verification methods for orientation progression. The first three phases of the CCF occur during precepted orientation, while phase 4 occurs post-orientation with the additional clinical support strategy of the VHC. The 14-week program is aligned to successfully support External RN Pathway RNs with no previous ICU experience to become competent critical care nurses.
