Systems Analyst, LIS Blood Bank
This is a full-time, exempt/salaried opportunity on UCHealth's Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) team supporting the Blood Bank. You may be based in Fort Collins, Metro Denver, or Colorado Springs, Colorado. Travel among all UCHealth sites will be required. Responsibilities include implementation, documentation and support of multiple applications with a focus on Blood Bank transfusion, Clinical, and Pathology Laboratory systems. The position will also require inclusion in our on-call support schedule.

Job duties

· Performs analysis of the daily use and administration of assigned IT system(s) including Haemonetics SafetraceTx, Epic Beaker, Data Innovations Instrument Manager, Biorad URT, TELCOR QML, and El Dorado Donor and Donor Doc, and Sysmex Caresphere.

· Assists with the planning, design, development, and installation of assigned systems. Tests and troubleshoots existing and proposed assigned system(s).

· Provides analysis of the usage and return-on-investment of installed and proposed assigned system(s).

· Generates reports as requested, including writing specifications for custom reports.

· Provides training, support and troubleshooting to end users. Documents end-user issues and recommends steps to prevent recurrences.


· High School diploma or GED

· 2 years of relevant experience


    • Prior experience supporting a Blood Bank transfusion management system
    • Haemonetics SafeTraceTx table build experience
    • Prior Clinical Laboratory Blood Bank experience
    • Prior experience working in a Clinical Laboratory
    • Prior experience troubleshooting EMR/Lab System Integration
    • Prior HL7 Order and Results interface experience
    • Prior experience with Reference Lab build, workflows, and integration
    • Experience working in Haemonetics SafetraceTx
    • Epic Beaker Certification
    • Experience working with Epic Beaker
    • Experience working with Epic Bridges
    • Experience working in TELCOR QML

    This position's pay range is: $34.62 – $51.93 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
