Pharmacist Resident

UCHealth Anschutz Medical Campus (Aurora, CO)
Inpatient Pharmacy

Summary:
Trains in and performs the appropriate selection, dosing, administration, and dispensing of medication orders as defined by the American Society of Healthcare Pharmacist (ASHP) residency standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages pharmaceutical care and protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems.
  • Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
  • Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Required Education: Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Pharmacist within 90 days of hire.

The pay rate for this position is:$30.17 / hour.
