Clinic Coding Outpatient Lead
This is a full-time (40 hrs/wk), hourly position on UCHealth’s Outpatient Coding team. Leads team members of the Outpatient Coding team by demonstrating and providing advanced knowledge of job responsibilities. This may be a remote/work-from-home position.
· Provides mentoring, monitoring, coaching, and evaluation of team members' performance, especially in the areas of productivity and quality management.
· Assists with the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures.
· Assists with coordinating services, prioritizing assignments and workflow, and promoting situational decision-making/problem solving.
· Performs responsibilities of underlying job. Takes responsibility for, or provides guidance to team members on, the handling of complex or novel issues.
· High School Diploma or GED
· Coding-related certification from AHIMA or AAPC
· 2 years of relevant experience in medical coding
· Associate’s degree
· 3+ years of Outpatient coding experience
The pay range for this position is: $22.80 - $29.64 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
