Summary:
Pre-Anesthesia Testing Center providers are responsible for assessing patients’ readiness for surgery that requires anesthesia by evaluating outpatients who are scheduled for a surgery or procedure including elective, non-elective, and semi-urgent procedures at Broomfield Hospital, Longs Peak Hospital and Longs Peak Surgery Center. Our goal is to optimize patients for the safest surgical experience as possible, minimize risk and avoid possible delays or cancellations.
Work Schedule: Full Time Days. Clinic is physically located in Longs Peak Medical Center.
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive preoperative assessments including a physical exam that helps identify and evaluate medical conditions such as anemia, diabetes, nutritional deficits, or other conditions that could affect patients during surgery.
Order bloodwork, electrocardiogram, allergy testing, sleep apnea assessment and other tests as appropriate.
Review medical history and records as well as specific instructions for medications, smoking cessation, pain management, and/or dietary guidelines.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
The pay range for this position is: $41.43 - $62.15 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
