Clinical Division and Clinical Unit: Acute Care – Surgical Trauma Unit
As a Level I Trauma Center, UCH takes extraordinary pride in the care we provide to our trauma patients. Between the skilled emergency staff, the pristine Trauma operating rooms, renowned surgeons, and a dedicated intensive care unit (ICU), there is no doubt our team at UCHealth is prepared to absorb any level of care trauma arriving through our doors. The Acute Care Surgical Trauma Unit nursing team is no exception to this standard when it comes to providing efficient care. These highly acute patients typically arrive post-operatively or from the ICU as patients continue to improve and heal. The Trauma program at UCH incorporates a multidisciplinary team whose primary focus is to help patients and their family recover from their traumatic event, both physically and emotionally, through outreach programs and continued support for at-risk populations. This Surgical Trauma Unit is seeking engaged healthcare workers who thrive in a fast-paced environment while providing patient-centered care to these multifaceted patients. Surgical Trauma is currently a sub-specialty of the Surgical Specialties Unit, where these patients will be cared for after the completion of Tower 3 in August, 2023.
Populations Typically Served: Post-surgical patients recovering from poly-traumatic injuries
Acuity Level: High acuity, Acute Care patients
Number of Beds: 36
Types of Procedures or Diagnosis Typically Seen: Traumatic Brain Injury, emergent orthopedic surgery, limb restoration, vascular surgeries, etc.
We are offering a $10,000 sign on bonus to part time RNs who have a minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
Also, we are offering a night incentive to Full time RNs of $1,600 for every 13 consecutive weeks of full time commitment. You must work a minimum of 3 full time night shifts every week.

The pay range for this position is: $33.08 - $51.27 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
