MEDICAL RECORDS SPECIALIST

This is a full-time, hourly, days position on UCHealth’s HIM Medical Records team. You may be based in Metro Denver, Fort Collins or Colorado Springs. This is a work-from-home opportunity but you must reside in Colorado. Some travel for staff meetings will be required. Verifies and facilitates the completion of medical records and maintains the deficiency system.

Job Duties

· Collaborates with clinical staff and assists with various documentation requirements, within established deadlines.

· Reviews medical documentation, ensuring compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements.

· Coordinates records completion activities related to deficiency tracking and suspension processes.

· Prepares reports, presentations and other documents as instructed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred

· Associate’s Degree

· Training in Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy

· Certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)

The pay range for this position is: $19.10 - $24.83 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
