Manages operations of the assigned department or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Provides staff and community education and preceptor plans. Serves as the Program Director for the EMS CoAEMSP Paramedic Program.
Work Schedule: Full Time Flex
Serves as the Program Director for the CoAEMSP Paramedic Program including regulatory compliance with accrediting bodies and managing faculty. Provides strategic planning, including long-range planning and ongoing development of the paramedic program. Oversees, demonstrates, and ensures the effectiveness of the paramedic program, including instruction and faculty,
Develops internal and external education programs. Helps review related policies and procedures. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational education plans (Field Training Operations, Recertification). Monitors effectiveness of education programs. Identifies trends and coordinates improvement processes through clinical QA/QI management.
Manages relationships with external agencies and outreach education community service through collaboration with community first response partners.
Develops specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives that directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
The pay range for this position is: $39.32 - $62.90 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
