Description

This is a full-time, hourly position on UCHealth's Cash Application team.  You may be based on Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, or Metro Denver.  This position is approximately 80% work from home and 20% on-site in office.

We are looking for an energetic and experienced Cash Applications Specialist to join our team! We process high volumes of transactions, remittances, and scanning documents. As part of our team, you reconcile account receivables, perform collection management processes, and post payments reconciliation while observing all relevant regulations. This positions also, resolves customer balances with focus on settling payment discrepancies, and conducting research for unidentified customer accounts. Our ideal candidate is a motivated problem-solver who can collaborate effectively on larger teams and independently as well as possess accurate data entry skills with a keen eye for detail. Prior experience in Cash handling/payment posting and knowledge of basic accounting is preferred. 

Work Schedule: Full Time Days

Job duties

  • Process and reconcile account receivables and remittances
  • Maintain regular reporting to accurately track financial information
  • Perform periodic audits of remittance and cash management documents
  • Responsible for accurately identifying, recording, and resolving all payment transactions. This will include identifying discrepancies such as double payments, batch errors, or other inconsistencies within remittances and deposits
  • Engage in collection management processes as necessary
  • Assist in the month end processes as needed such as participating in special department projects/initiatives as directed

Requirements:

  • Minimum Required Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum Experience: 1 year of related experience.

The pay range for this position is: $19.67 - $25.57 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Preferred

  • Experience working with Excel spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of banking policies and procedures
  • Cash applications experience in a professional setting
  • Healthcare experience
  • Critical thinking skills and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy within a high-volume transactional environment
  • Decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced patient/customer-oriented environment and take appropriate action.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to multitask and prioritize amid time sensitive deadlines
  • Aptitude to work with and communicate with all levels of Management
