Summary:
Oversees image quality and processes for specific modalities. Trains staff on quality and compliance. Performs radiology scans per scope of practice.

Work Schedule: Full Time Days

Responsibilities:
Facilitates regulatory and organizational compliance. Implements protocols on scanning equipment (may include specific modalities) to maintain image management and quality while achieving low radiation dose where applicable.

Performs radiology scans; obtains patient history, explains procedures and does scheduling. Maintains training and staff competencies to meet quality and regulatory requirements. Monitors ongoing training. Completes special projects to implement solutions for clinical operations.

Participates in reviewing policies and guidelines. Creates patient care forms. Recommends opportunities for performance improvement.

Provides reports from clinical databases. Provides interpretation of data for physicians and staff.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Required Education: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
    Required Licensure/Certification: Registered as a (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
    Minimum Experience: 3 years of experience in specific modality.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)

The pay range for this position is: $36.19 - $54.28 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
