Summary:
Collect and submit accurate, complete, and timely data to the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) Data Registry Platform. Utilizes high-quality data compilation, documentation, and entry of metabolic and bariatric procedures performed.
Work Schedule: Full Time Days

Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Clinical Reviewer (MBSCR)
Responsibilities:
Collects preoperative, intraoperative, postoperative, and long-term follow-up data components for the program through the effective utilization of the hospital medical record systems and through a coordinated effort with individual surgeon office staff.
Tracks health information through various sources such as medical records, surgery clinics, death index, direct patient contact, accounts payable, and legal counsel.
Works closely with the members of the metabolic and bariatric and general surgery departments to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement and other special projects that may be identified.
Serves as an educational resource on the MBSAQIP Data Registry Platform for internal and external audiences by developing educational material and delivering presentations. Must be present and actively participate in each MBSAQIP site visit.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
The pay range for this position is: $24.11 - $36.17 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
