Focus on Professional Practice Evaluation (Peer Review):

  • Fact Finding:
    • Will review, as necessary, the medical record, other relevant documentation, and Practitioners professional practice evaluation history.
    • May interview and gather information from hospital employees, Practitioners, and others who may have relevant information.
  • Review, Determination and Referral:
    • Will consult with Practitioner leaders of professional practice evaluation committees to determine proper review process for cases.
  • Facilitation:
    • Support facilitation of professional practice evaluation committees.
  • Documentation:
    • All cases or issues identified for review shall be referred to this person, who will document the matter and facilitate the subsequent tracking and analysis of the case. 

Preferred:  Nurse leadership experience and peer review experience

Summary:

Coordinates activities and flow of work for an assigned function or area. May supervise employees.

Work Schedule: Full Time Days

Work site:  University of Colorado Hospital, Aurora, CO
Work onsite, no remote option

Responsibilities:
Prioritizes multiple tasks and projects to ensure timely completion. Delegates and assigns work commensurate with knowledge, skill and experience, and ensures the work is performed appropriately.

Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to assist with problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services, and systems/performance measures.

Facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of program or area services and initiatives. Facilitates the development of practice standards and measurable outcomes based on performance evaluation and research.

Serves as a resource to staff regarding departmental/area policies, procedures and services. May supervise employees.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

    * Registered Nurse
  • Other information:
    Minimum Required Education: BSN.
    Required Licensure/Certification: State Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
    Minimum Experience: 3 years of related experience.

The pay range for this position is: $40.86 - $63.33 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
