Department: UCHlth Patient Line Admin
FTE: Part Time 24.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days 
Pay: $140 / hour  to $150 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
This role will have oversight for UCHealth Patient Access & Navigation (PAN). PAN collaborates with providers across UCHealth to improve access and navigation. PAN efforts demand significant change management and require key provider input and collaboration between our health system partners. 
Leads and oversees a service line for all regions. Provides medical care direction and clinical coordination of services.
Responsibilities:

Sets strategic directions for a system service line. Provides medical direction and clinical coordination for patient care in the service area. Monitors clinical outcomes to facilitate high-quality care. Leads patient care governance.

Develops and executes strategies to meet patient care goals including operational and clinical goals. Serves as liaison regarding work performed in assigned areas to determine if services provided are appropriate, that medically reliable data is being generated, and that there is optimal utilization and correlation of such data for purposes of diagnosis and patient management.

Collaborates with the clinically integrated network to align goals and incentives from value-based contracts. Leads the preparation of strategic and financial plans for the area. Oversees capital budget requests. Ensures that shared services are aligned with system imperatives.

Provides direct patient care to patients according to scope of service and policies and procedures.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school and residency program.
  • Unrestricted Colorado Board of Medical Examiners physician license. Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice. Board certification or eligibility for Board certification by American Board of specialty. Unrestricted medical staff membership at a system hospital, with appropriate practice privileges. If primary practice facility is not a system hospital, then appropriate documentation must be submitted showing privileges at the primary practice facility. Appropriate credentialing through Medical Staff Services office required. Eligible to provide reimbursable Physician services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
