Pay: $20.26 - $26.34 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Counsels patients and/or parties responsible for payment regarding payment responsibilities and options.
Responsibilities:
Explains financial responsibilities for services received, payment options, and collection procedures.
Explains insurance benefits, eligibility, requirements, and estimated patient liability based upon analysis and verification of insurance benefits.
Recommends alternative sources of payment and/or financial assistance when appropriate.
Communicates with insurance carriers, alternative payment sources, and healthcare providers to act as an advocate for the patient.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
