Location: UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies Main Hosp, US:CO:Loveland

Department: MCR Sterile Process

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days 

Pay: $22.14 - $28.78 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:
Coordinates instrument inventory and assists in ordering and maintaining pars. Collaborates with the OR staff to ensure sufficient instrumentation is available.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures instruments trays are up and operational,. Obtains quotes from vendors as needed, and submits orders for approval.
  • Works with OR staff to ensure proper instruments are available and instrument par levels are maintained. Assists SPD leadership with solutions.
  • Update files, coordinate instruments needed, count sheets are created and maintained, assists in tracking instruments sent out for repair.
  • Function in the department as SPD Tech completing all duties and functions in that role (decontamination, assembling, sterilization).
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Certified as a CSPDT (Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) from CBSPD or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) - OR - State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration and certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • 1 year of sterile processing experience..
