Pay: $69.65 - $111.44 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:

Directs the department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization. UCHealth is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Revenue Cycle Analytics to lead our Clinical Revenue Cycle (CRC) analytics and Administrative Revenue Cycle Analytics teams. This position will play a critical role in optimizing financial performance, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Director will oversee CRC, as well as revenue cycle analytics related to patient access, collections, denials management, and other revenue cycle areas.

Responsibilities:

• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans and standards consistent with the administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.

• Lead the analytics team in maintaining, developing and automating reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for patient access, billing, collections, and denials. 

• Provide leadership and direction to the Clinical Revenue Cycle and Revenue Cycle Analytics teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop and implement strategies to guide improvements in revenue cycle performance, reduce denials, and enhance collections.
  
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across finance, patient access, billing, compliance and IT to drive revenue cycle improvements.
• Direct team supporting advanced analytics for coding quality management, CDI financial impact, UM/CDI staff productivity scorecards, UM short stay audits, and concurrent coding efforts
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce cost-to-collect.
• Manages and evaluates departmental operations, including information technologies, service level determination and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
• Assists with the preparation and evaluation of departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. 
• Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
  
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. 
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.
• Leadership experience with a proven track record of managing and developing teams.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.
• Advanced degree or certification in a related field.
• Proficiency with EPIC and Slicer Dicer
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI).
