Pay: $35.74 - $57.19 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Job Title: Business Manager - Transplant Business Services

Summary: 
Partners with the Director of Transplant Business Services in leading the Transplant Financial Case Coordinator (TFCC) team and ensuring the Transplant Center is following regulatory requirements for Organ and BMT transplants.

Responsibilities:
Ensure the TFCC team is following workflows to support all potential transplant recipients across the solid organ transplant programs (i.e., kidney, liver, pancreas, lung, heart, as well as any combination organ transplant procedures). Encompasses full episode of care, from referral to one-year post-transplant.

Support the TFCC team to confirm sufficient transplant benefits (e.g., for grandfathered plans, post-Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act signing into legislation regarding a transplant max), accompanied by evidence of reasonable ability to provide for post-transplant needs, will satisfy this requirement

Partners with stakeholders to ensure Transplant Business Services are following CMS requirements for Medicare Cost Reporting of transplant services.


Summary:
Provides project management. Reports on performance indices for business and clinical operations, clinical care management and outcomes reporting. Identifies process improvements and associated revenue and cost savings.

Responsibilities:
Plans and executes business and clinical projects. Develops communication plans to engage key constituents. Engages stakeholders in project design.

Researches barriers to effective service delivery. Creates reports that provide monitoring of re-engineered processes. Translates information needs into actionable reporting tools. Assists in data validation.

Optimizes effective reporting. Ensures that data definitions are in synch. Identifies data gaps and resolves.

Conducts needs assessment and planning to meet business objectives. Recommends improvements to maximize benefits. Develops financial metrics that reflect outcomes of improvement work.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Preferred: Master's degree in relevant field.
    Required Licensure/Certification: None Required.
    Minimum Experience: 3 years of healthcare experience, including large scale and complex project management. Experience in process facilitation, outcomes reporting and change management.
