Pay: $38.91 - $60.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Provides direct lactation care and instruction to breastfeeding mothers and infants.
Responsibilities:
Performs initial and on-going assessments of the patient's lactation goals and issues.
Develops evidence-based feeding plans that address the mother and infant's feeding issues.
Designs and implements community outreach/education programs and activities.
Maintains knowledge of current lactation theories and research.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
We will be in patient’s homes within a 10 mile radius of the hospital. You will need to come to the hospital to see patients to schedule appts and you will be traveling to and from patient’s homes every day.
