Pay: $19.67 - $25.57 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Assist WOC Nurses (WOCN) with wound care needs on inpatient units. Collaborates with Inpatient Wound Care Team to provide clinical support to bedside staff.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with WOCN and bedside staff to support local workflows, including prevention rounding and implementation of HAPI bundle.
Assists with monitoring wound progression and healing. Performs simple wound care treatments. Escalates wound concerns to WOCN team.
Assists with maintaining wound care equipment. Utilizes technology to support HAPI prevention, wound identification and wound healing.
Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with hospital standards. Demonstrates appropriate emergency and patient safety procedures.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
